This page is under construction. Many hours of busy work are needed to finish it. for now, just take the link to the HABS home page and search for the building you are after. I believe all the buildings are listed below but as several were not indexed by Gill's name, some may have been missed. I will be adding the design partner's names and links to non HABS photos on the internet also. Your input is welcome!

Irving Gill Central presents:

Shortcuts and a guide to Irving Gill buildings documented on the HABS site.

The Library of Congress HABS (Historic American Building Survey) site is little-known but is the best source for photographs of historic buildings, many of which were destroyed soon after the pictures were taken. The site is well worth spending a good long look at, no matter what your architectural interest is. Because the site is so unknown, and because of its slow, layered navigation and its sometimes difficult search process, I have made this site as a guide and shortcut to the photographs and documents relating to Irving Gill's work. These are by far the best Gill photographs available at this time in any site or publication. Each document is available in various degrees of quality depending on your patience, modem type and need. The very detailed TIFF files will open with Adobe Acrobat, this may take many minutes each to download, I don't think you can use the extra quality unless you are printing or zooming in. The Main page of each building has thumbnail photos of all the pictures and period drawings of the building and links to the HABS Axionometrics and field notes.
